Keep it. The only downside is you won't get the "dark blessing of the shadow" skill.

Eeerrrh, me?!! Could you tell me what that skill is all about?
As I understood that quest right, I can only choose between either the helmet or the skill. Is that right? So, what's the skill/blessing about?

I destroyed the helmet (a mistake perhaps!), but I don't have that skill available in my list. What did I miss?

Its a one time.skill you get after you complete all 3 quest ... at least I think theres 3.

But I have completed all three quests. I am 99% certain that I have completed all the quests available up to this point.

Edit: I just looked at the quest log, and it seems I was offered the blessing, but I declined. I think "dark blessing" sounded too ominous, so I decided to refuse. Well, I was feeling bored, and now I have a new mission. Back to the cave

Yes, although not the way I would like.

Went to the cave, no luck. It seems that once you refuse you don't get a second chance. So I really blew that quest! Not only did I not get the best reward, I didn't get the second best either

So, if I get it right the general opinion is that the helmet is the best reward, right?

But what if there is a better helmet in another version? Than the Blessing would be better, no? Opinions please!

It's a really good helmet, possibly the best in the game...nuff said. But, if you feel like you want the very small buff to protection against conditions, then take the blessing. It is only 5%....10% may have intrigued me more.
