What is the best way to earn gold? Is it really relevant in late game? So far I am killing the little dogs just east of the starting town. I usually net 1-3 pieces each clear through before I go back to the house and rest.

I find snake cave (just south of town) more profitable. You get more XP per kill too.

Not really relevant later in the game. Sell the meat for gold buy potions. Just so you always have a back up. Save often try to save gold for gear and jewel of fallhaven necklace. Have fun.

Okay so I do want to get that necklace then. I was 200 gold short of getting it but bought like 3 other pieces of armor because I got more benefits from it.

Gargoyle cave NPC are a great source for gold. It's located northeast of Vilegard

Get the JoF. There is only one better necklace, and you can only get it much later in the game.

Much later in the game there is a better place to grind for gold

Prim-BWM path gives you a lot of gold too...

Flagstone also gives quite a bit of gold (and drops potions too so you don't have to buy as many). It should be doable around level 15-20, possibly earlier depending on your build.

Go south from Crossglen and once you pass the edge of the mountain go west and look for a guard standing around doing nothing.

Bwm is the best place to grind for gold but also deep in the green maze there are monsters that drop items worth harvesting for gold as well young adventurer.

The absolute best place to grind for gold, if you are powerful enough, is the cave under Lodar, in the green maze. The creatures there drop runed scepters so fast and they're worth something like 1,800 gold to sell. I have 1,002 of them.
