Quest Question

So on the Lost Potion quest, i cant seem to figure out how to progress. It started off with me finding the one rock formation just north of the fallhaven, and then coming across the forest protector that needs a password. Ive tried talking to umar? in vileguard but he just speaks nonsense. While searching the forums i found some posts saying it was an unfinished quest, and another showing all the text of the quest and the completed map for lodars? hideaway maze. Any help on this would be appreciated!

You need to talk to the thief master guy in Fallhaven. Umar is his name. He will tell you to talk to Ogam. Ogam will then tell you the proper words for the guardian. This all requires that you complete several prerequisite quests.

The references to an unfinished quest would be in the context of an earlier version of the game. It can be completed in the current version.

Umar sends you to see Ogam. Ogam does speak nonsense, but you need to follow through all of the possible conversation threads, because he does give you the password. I'm not sure that is the case unless you have first spoken to Umar though. If you then follow the right conversation thread with the forest protector it will let you pass.

What's your current level? This is a very hard quest, and one of the last you can complete in the current version of the game.

Oh i see. Well right now im level 19. And ive completed almost all the quests up until loneford and past the troll bridge and bwm. Ive searched throughout fallhaven but no umar, if bucar is the guy i need to talk to, he doesnt say anything other than denying he knows nothing of the thieves guild, there must be a prerequisite quest i havent done yet

When there is nothing else left to do, which at level 19 is at some distant point in the future, come back to this quest. The quest is initiated very early, but finished very late. At level 19 you would have an extremely hard time (IMO, it would be almost impossible) to even reach the required destination.

Bare minimum would be lvl35 to do the Lost Potion quest.
Run around, kill things and explore. Only if you've got crazy high AD to go for it.

Mobs hurt bad at lower levels, and have crazy DR.
