So I was wondering. Shouldn't the rapier of lifesteal be 4 ap rather than five? I know the enchantment is strong but the regular rapier is 4. I was going to get that and combat speed two before I realized. I don't have it yet but I'd like to get it and I'd hate to see two skill points wasted. Of course I could get the jewel of fallhaven but then I'd have to give up irigotus necklace which I keep for the damage resistance.
PS.
I'm happy to join the board everyone here seems nice.

Welcome to the forum Azazel.
The DR of Irigotus Necklace is nice in the very early game, but the farther you go you will notice that AD, AC (BC) and the most possible damage per round is much preferable than one point less damage taken.
That's why I take IF a soon as available to get more HP.

Hello Azazel, and welcome to the forums.

Weapons of the same type do not all have the same attack cost, although they are usually similar. There are only three rapiers in the game, the Fencing blade, the RoL, and one other you can get through a quest if you complete it in a certain way. It's true that the Fencing blade has an attack cost of 4 AP, but both of the others have an attack cost of 5 AP.

You should get combat speed 2, and that will not be wasted. Most players consider both levels of that skill as mandatory, along with at least one level of Increased Fortitude (which should be taken as early as possible).

Almost everyone also gets the JoF, because the reduction in attack cost of the weapon is usually more valuable than anything else you can get from a necklace.

I think there is another rapier but it's a 2h weapon. When u look at info on the claymore of the warlord it says it's a rapier. But I'm not sure if a 2h weapon CAN be classified as such

Claymore of the Warlord is a two handed sword. Where do you see it classified as a rapier?

When I clicked on it in my inventory. Unfortunately I can't even go back to screenshot it now as I sold it to lodars yesterday as it was of no use to me

That aside the 3 usual rapiers RoL fencing blade and sword of shadows rage right?

Can't stand the last 1. Only good if blowing through extremely low powered enemy's. (Or I need to be a lot stronger) as the effect dissent hit that often. Maybe I'll leave it in the basket at crossglen till I'm a bit stronger

Yes. In the basket in the house u start off in. Just drop whatever in there. Bare in mind whenever you go over it u will pick up the entire contents not just the last items dropped... at least I think so anyway. Also if u check that basket when u start the game there is 12 gold for you
