If I use QSD, then I will not have enough AD for Hira'zinn which has 21 DR. If I take care of AD with Skullcrusher and 2 rings, it will leave me free to focus on AC which I need at least 215% so that I can have a 50/50 shot at Hithrials. For Plaguestrider Master, I need 225% AC, and Basement Rat, I need 230% AC, but there is only one of each so I think I'll manage.

3 DR is good enough from Serpent's Hauberk and Dark Protector. Definitely Marrowtaint b/c I'm using Skullcrusher. I rather have Vacors Boots of attack b/c of its AC and plus I would have to invest an Oegyth Crystal to upgrade the remgard boots that I'm going to use for Weapon Proficiency for 3 lvls which increases AC of weapon by 30% each lvl. That's a total of 18% extra AC.

Lol, as you can see I've done my homework. :)

Hm. I don't know, I'm gonna have to find Andor and get him to check ;)

What's Hithrials? I haven't done a full run in a while, bar the save I lost the other week -.-

I'll admit, I'm a 'tap the screen til they or I die' player xD so I miss things.

If you are going to attempt it at lvl30, I can propose an interesting build.
two levels of dual wield
three levels of dagger proficiency
using two BMW daggers
Marrowtaint
other slots are good as said. I am not sure if it would exceed the DR of it. The AC would go crazy.
Also in case of Hira'zinn BC is also really important because it will heal each time it hits you and it has 5 attacks each turn.
I didn't attempt it at low levels because I tried in my first character, the damage was zeroing out and being paranoid and too calculative, it was a walk in the park when I attemted again.

Hithrials are those ghosts in the cave where Hira'zinn resides. Not for long though, I'm gonna kick some buttay!

That's interesting, dual wielding BW daggers will give me a ton of AC but not much AD. Very interesting indeed. Hira'zinn has around 130‰ or something BC. It won't be a problem. Yeah, once you know the ropes of AT it becomes easier to make a particular build, but you need a goal to choose the right one.

(Edit: There is one other factor I've not considered about Hira'zinn, the chance of hitting with a strong enough hit. If I have a 50% chance of hit and 0-42 AD, then I will have 50% multiplied by a 50% chance of getting a hit of 22 or more damage. So that comes out to 25% of actually doing damage.)

For Skullcrusher, you'd need level 30 for it to be effective (2 x Combat Speed skills, so you can hit Hira twice), but with Gutsplitter, all you need's the JoF or Marrowtaint to be able to hit twice per round.

That's true, Gutsplitter has 6 attack cost. However, its AD max is 17 which requires a large investment of AD to surpass 21 DR so that I have a good chance of actually doing damage (instead of most hits being absorbed completely). 7-17AD + 9AD added = 16-26AD giving it 50% to hit with 22 or more AD. Plus, Gutsplitter doesn't have any CM to help with non-immune mobs. With that said I think Gutsplitter is the second best alternative for a weapon. If you are suggesting that the 2 skill points for Combat Speed be placed on HH, then AD would be sufficient (but I would put them on WA for 24% AC and level up with AD 4 times, i.e., 24% AC and 4 AD instead of 4 AD and 20% AC). I would have to make another character for this build b/c I've already placed a skill point on Combat Speed. I would have to bump up Gutsplitter as a better alternative. Still gotta check out dual-wielding BW daggers, but by the looks of their low AD max it will be the third best alternative I've heard so far.

1) Gutsplitter +1
2) Skullcrusher -1
3) 2 BW daggers ~

Thanks nyxkitty! :D

Oh definitely. You've got to have two sets for crit and non-crit with the way you get swarmed by the ghosts.
If you waited til lvl 45, there's 2H Specialisation, and then if the skills do stack, doubling the AD (110%) of Skullcrusher. I might aim for this as my build.

Since I'm trying not to sell anything, so gold takes a while, but even if I go for 2H Specialisation in one and fork my saves, it'll be interesting to see how I do. I've already k.o'd 25 times, so the count should be hilarious by the time I go for Lodar.

Yeah, I can't wait to get to lvl 45 with Skullcrusher and 2 RoLS. That would be 8-68 AD plus whatever critical chance you got. However, I have to stick to my goal of finishing all quests by lvl 30 w/o hit/run tactics for now. Once I achieve that I will start forming a critical build while using Skullcrusher and try another achievement to get 100 TD (total damage, AD+CD) by a certain lvl that I haven't decided yet but needs to be challenging.

I've suggested BW daggers because they have lower AP. If you are having problem with AD, dual wielding two BW iron sword will give you total of 6-14 AD. In that case you will need the wewel of fallhaven or morriviant. Because they are 4 AP to wield and you get 1AP punishment from BW curse so combat speed becomes useless. If you are going to use morriviant, you will get 3 attacks per turn. Also you can use BW poisen dagger they have same AD with the regular ones but they have 50% chance of inflicting weak poison for 5 rounds.
Also drink liquid corage before the fight, Morkins do drop them. It will give you extra 4 AD plus some AC and BC also a few HP.

taking potions before battle is very good idea....however, liquid courage increases AD by 2, AC and BC by 3%, and restores just 1 HP per round. Potion of Heightened senses increases AD by 4.
