Hi all,
I have one sword proficiency and a BCC so these are the stats with that -
AC 242%
AD 10-21
CHS 17
BC 182%
DR 3
With DoSP (Dagger) and one dagger proficiency these are the stats -
AC 215%
AD 8-15
CHS 39
CM 3.0
ECC 22%
Which is the better of the two in this comparison ?

Re: Which is better ? BCC or DoSP ?
out of the two I will use BCC, but someone with a crit type build will use DoSP. but BCC will remain effective on crit immune mobs while DoSP is for extra critical damage which do not affect these mobs. so if you are investing your SP in crit skills then there is DoSP but if not then there is BCC.

I forgot that there are critical immune mobs as well, thank you for reminding that, so will not invest my SP in critical skills.

Re: Which is better ? BCC or DoSP ?
I assume by BCC you mean the Balanced Steel Sword (BSS)? Anyway, you can work out which is better using the spreadsheet I posted here: http://andorstrail.com/download/file.php?id=1201
Assuming a monster block chance of 150% (i.e. a tough one), with the BSS your average damage per round would be 45. With DoSP it would be 39, but that drops to 27 for crit immune monsters. If the monster block chance is 100% (i.e. not quite so tough, but still up there), with the BSS your average damage per round would be 52. With DoSP it would also be 52, but only 36 for crit immune monsters. So you are better off with the BSS.
As your stats change (especially AC and AD) that could change. I use DoSP as my standard weapon, but switch to BSS for crit immune monsters.
Your AD is very low. You might want to think about putting more level ups into AD.
