Food poisoning!

10%? 10%? - I wish it was only 10%.

I reckon it's running somewhere between 20% & 30%, and I did a complete run through the Zombie pit this afternoon where it hit 75%. Four portions of meat and poisoned on three of them.

I'm expecting a long wait before the next outbreak.

I have since put a skill point into Regeneration, so I guess along with the meat that will cancel out the poison hit, and a Potion of Health to cover the lack of benefit from the meat is much easier to find than a poison gland at the moment.

Seems like the food poisoning stacks.
There is a quest that allows to make antidotes for it.
Just speak with the priest in Crossglen and the potion maker in Fallhaven about it.

Why even use raw meat in this way? Just sell it and get some cook meat or vegetables for the money.

It is only 10%, but random events are, well, random ;) . Sometimes it may appear to be happening more often than that, or less often than that. That is a short term perception though; long term, it will happen 10% of the time.

Sorry. Probability does not have a memory :geek:

Food poisoning does not stack. Neither does sustenance.

I've got antidotes for the food poisoning, but can seem to get through them at an alarming rate at times - faster than I can find poison glands.

Why use them? I'm a cheapskate! :D

Yeah, I was just blowing of steam really.

Does the counter/evaluation/whatever for when you are poisoned re-set if you take bed-rest or is it a continuous calculation?

It's a dice roll on every occasion.

Poison glands are extremely easy to find, just south of Crossglen. I always found it harder to collect the animal hair at early levels.

I know where to find it thanks, the drop frequency just seems to have dried up a bit, at the same time as the frequency of food poisoning has increased - I had a three out of five this afternoon - that's 60%.

I've got hair coming out of my ears, yes literally - and my nose!

So you're far enough along for boars to be a comfortable source, then. It's a bit further till you get another easy source of poison glands, but just keep at the snakes - they'll drop.

Too easy! Why didn't I think of that!!! ........(although I don't save as often as I might, usually just when changing characters).

Actually my faith in the dice has been restored somewhat - I wasn't taking an accurate count (why would I when it's going OK) but I must have used between 15 & 20 portions of hog and dog before I got poisoned again.

I have now started to build up a stock of untainted meat.
