Extraordinary and legendary items

Good morning everyone.
OK so I was grinding away at Blackwater Mountain looking for weak poison. I only have 220 so to my surprise I got the ElyR. Wow. Had to share. There is hope. I am lvl 5Magic Finder. Just letting you know. I am excited. Whoop.

PS: i hope I posted in the right place. I looked for legendary items then went to reply. If I posted in the wrong place, then could somebody give me a clue (walk thru) on how to post in the proper place.

Grinded away for my first RoLS and ended up getting my first around 5000 kills while slowly getting MF up to 3 while grinding. Took it to 4 after I got the first and went back deciding to go for a second one since I had finished all quests. I ended up with 690 small rocks as I hit level 55 and cleared the last 8 masters to get out and do some more leveling. Looked in my inventory and I had gotten not 1 one RoLS, BUT TWO! Around 2100 kills got me 2 more RoLS ' s only in the last 8 kills.

It was so amazing I had to share it. That first one that popped up before was a moment of awe. Like finding an Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac in Diablo 1.

Time for my hunt for a RoL now!

Wow you're lucky! I have acquired all extraordinary items by using the savegame technique but I don't know if I should try getting a leg item.

Congratulations! You have obtained the second ring very quickly. It's just the matter of pure case so these monsters could drop one at once But that's so rare!

744 rocks to get my first RoLS in my second ever character (first character was a year or so ago). 2019 gargoyle trainers, 984 masters, zero magic find. Basically was grinding from level 20 to 31.

Finally got an extraordinary item I was striving for, after someone recommended it for me in these forums for my play style, namely:

Valugha's shimmering hat

after "just" ridding the world of 318 Plaguestrider masters.

Still need to get the other Valugha's item, and still no luck with the Ring of Lesser Shadow, though, for which I fought already 1278 gargoyle trainers and 847 gargoyle masters...

Also, much earlier in the game, I had foolishly sold the first extraordinary I had gotten by chance - Shadowfang - because it didn't seem of use to me at the time (or now for that matter). Howerver, the weird thing is I distinctly recall getting one before ever meeting Izthiel Guardians, around the time when I was exploring the prison (for Ancient Secrets) and nearby areas. So I wonder if there is another monster that can drop Shadowfang besides the Izthiel? I'm sorry for not being more precise, as I wasn't paying attention to extraordinaries back then, but I definitely did get a warning message when I sold it.

Only the Izthiel Guardians drop Shadowfang. You get a warning when you try to sell any unique item though, not just Extraordinary or Legendary items, so maybe it was something else you sold.

Ah, ok, thanks! So it probably was some unique from a quest that I eventually decided to sell for lack of use and to un-clutter my inventory at the time (now I'm doing the opposite, namely keeping mostly everything )

having found this legendary ring I think it is time to join this forum

I had to gain some strenght before I could visit Lodar, and this cave is a good fitness studio - especially if one could find interesting things.
1528 trainers and 1068 masters had a very short life...

Because I spent much time in the cave, I thought a new carpet might be nice:
