I agree. Pink might work.

I'm thinking a light pink would be just as hard to see if not harder. Can we please stay away from shades of RED! (Pink counts)

Make each line in the X a different color that way it has more contrast.

What if.... the color would be adjusted depending on what color background you are standing on?

Green (Like a grass field) - Blue X
Blue (standing over water) - Bright yellow X
etc...

just a thought.

I don't think one color will always work, no matter what the color. Unless certain colors are banned on the maps, anyway. Red against a reddish background is hard to see even if you are not color blind. One option would be to average the local pixels, and then make the X the inverse color. Unfortunately, the inverse pf red is green, so that will not solve the problem for those that are color blind. Another option would be to make the X blink by alternating between two colors, say red an yellow. I expect that is a lot of work to implement though. So a third possibility might be something like this:

I made the one on the right especially for Pyrizzle

The pink X with the yellow circle looks awesome, the blue X with the red circle looks pretty good too. Just making the X blink slowly with one color would look good too.

The amount of effort needed to make this happen is just not worth it.

Jackson's idea of a pulsating x is a good one & relatively easy to implement

I agree that the pulsating/blinking X is the best idea so far, but I have no idea what the workload would consist of to make that happen.
