I don't think anything was ever tried. Like so many other ideas, this one just fell off a cliff and died.

this is a good one, i was bothered by it just the other day.
there should be plenty of time to get a simple gif done before the update!

i put it on my to do list, but if someone does it first - i won't complain. :lol:

Lady Drager is working on a gif for something else,
she might express interest in this as well?

At what size? If it''s the normal size relative to a map it would be very hard to see with the worldmap zoomed out.

I'm thinking same physical size as in-game (32x32), unaffected by zooming. I'll have to learn some CSS I guess.

Regardless of color, if you used an X that is either dark with a light border or vice versa (e.g. the Sustenance cross icon, red with white border), it should stand out against nearly any background, if you know what you're looking for.

back to the original map bug...

i think it just happened to me & i will take a bug report when i find out.
i am stuck deep in a rough cave & can't access the map yet...

[will a bug report even help?]
it feels more like a feature (albeit a faulty one)

i will try to recreate the event, so as to have report that's as clean as possible.
