Crazy Skills

Hello AT Community,

I am new to writing in the forum, but have used it and played AT for a couple years now. Beat the final boss twice, going on third, but just using spare time. I love the customization of the character in terms of builds.

Anyway, skills are crazy awesome. There are efforts even to implement new ones too (see here -> http://andorstrail.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1504). I would like to suggest something small. I haven't seen it anywhere on the forums and so this looks like the right place to put it. Could we organize skills a little better? Now, it looks like everything is just thrown together with little structure. The following format is what I have in mind.

Offense
Weapon Accuracy
Hard Hit
Combat Speed
Cleave
Concussion

Defense
Dodge
Bark Skin
Evasion
Taunt

Criticals
More Criticals
Better Criticals
Internal Bleeding
Fracture

Immunity
Corpse Eater
Increased Fortitude
Regeneration
Strong Mind
Enduring Body
Pure Blood
Rejuvenation

Utility
Merchant
Treasure Hunter
Quick Learner
Failure Mastery
Magic Finder

Advanced
Fighting Style: Dual wield
Fighting Style: Two-handed weapon
Fighting Style: Weapon and shield
Specialization: Dual wield
Specialization: Two-handed weapon
Specialization: Weapon and shield

Proficiency
*Skills attained by spending Oegyth Crystals; I don't know them all off-hand so I am not going to list them*


Of course this layout could be modified with the introduction of new skills. Hope y'all add some feedback!

Very good suggestion. I agree, this would be help. This would be a nice clean up, similar to why so many are asking for a better way to sort inventory.

Indeed this is a good one, and much simpler than a true skill tree to code.

Thanks, guys. I thought about skill tree too and it would probably look a little better than just a list, but like you said, it would be much simpler to code a list. However, it doesn't matter to me, as long as it is a little more organized.

I think we already have the solution to this thread. Twirlimp was able to adjust the UI for both the skills and inventory. Hopefully it is implemented in the next update.

Yup, it's been merged to the master branch so expect these UI changes for the next release.

By the way... Do you have more of them golden ideas? I'm looking for more quality-of-life updates.

It wouldn't affect many players, but an option in the settings for larger fonts would be good for those with older eyes (like me :D ). Increase the font size by a couple of points.

Well I could experiment around and try zooming text to 200%, although unless you have a big screen it could get unwieldy.
