it's a sad state of affairs...
i tried to do as much as i could without looking like a noob.
but, i have hit a wall. Ian would make fun of me if he frequented the forums...

(artist & writer here, not a computer person)

i do know how to google stuff & fix things that are reasonable.
but i hit a speed-bump...

im running XP & the Java Update that's recommended warns me...
it says my OS isn't supported - DUH! (on XP over here)

so, i just feel like ignoring it & continuing the update and install,
is that a foolish, or "noob" move?

I thought my Windows 7 was getting outdated. Um, do you have a choice? I would do it.

Well, ATCS should work with a reasonably old java version (Java 6, current is Java 8).
However, running XP and an old java is an open door to hackers.....

yeah, get rid of XP....even though it is (was) a great platform.

I still haven't gotten to the new update, but this is really a great tool. Ur right nyktos. That shows you have been out for quite a while.

I just love looking at ATCS updates!

I personally consider it an impressive project on it's own, and if I ever use JSON in a different new game I'm definitely modifying ATCS to work with it.

It just keeps on getting better!
