Swedish translation

Post by auroradormita » Fri Jan 06, 2017 10:18 pm

Since Swedish is the language I know best, and I have no other skills that would be a useful contribution to AT, I thought why not? Do your bit for the cause and throw your two cents in and all that.

But there doesn't seem to be much done as far as Swedish translation (someone did a little, more than a year ago) and there's no forum topic for Swedish, so I guess that makes me the official leader for this one man band?? Whoo hoo! Or actually, more like :? :? :? if someone could take over that would be great. But maybe anyone else who knows Swedish is lurking, and waiting for someone to take the initiative before they start helping out?

I haven't done any translations (although I am bilingual: American and English  ), but I think translating turns into a much bigger task than most people expect. So there are, unfortunately, many unfinished translations :( . Any input that grinds one closer to completion would be greatly appreciated though.

Somewhat ironically, the person that started the AT project (Oskar Wiksten), and wrote most of it, is Swedish.

Yeah I've heard that, which was why I was surprised at first there wasn't a Swedish translation. But could also be that that fact is kind of intimidating or something? Like "ooh, what if I do a terrible job and he finds out". Dunno.
