Inventory tab in shops

Post by Zukero »

I'm currently doing some cleanup on the opened pull-requests on github, and saw one that looks good, but I couldn't find a thread discussing it here.

It adds an "Inventory" tab to the shops, to help in comparing your current items with the ones in the shop.

What are your thoughts on this? Would you like that?

The Sell tab gives you most of your inventory. But not what you have equipped. Why not just add the equipped items to the Sell tab (marked appropriately)? I don't know how many times I've closed a shop dialog, unequipped a weapon or piece of armor, etc, so I could go back and forth between the Buy and Sell tabs to compare in detail what I already have with what I might buy. And especially, how much can I sell the old one for, so I know if I can afford the new one yet (assuming I'm not planning on keeping both, of course).

Yes. This is helpful when trying to determine if you need something. I like to keep a half dozen of each merchant item. I often need a feature like this to answer the question: "do I need ___"? And if so, then "how much"?

There's one here: http://andorstrail.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4975&p=49892 That's obviously associated with the pull request from codernator. I can't find a thread discussing the pull request from arnaudcoj.

At the moment it is a pain buying new stuff sometimes. Like others, I find myself switching between the shop and inventory screens to decide what I want to do. Anything that makes that easier would be good.
