I upgraded from the 6 to the 6p when they came out. I kind of want to upgrade again but I can't really justify it to myself. I just hope things like the new launcher and assistant come down the line.
you can get assistant if you're rooted, just gotta modify the build prop...
totally freaked my kids out, all they wanted to do was keep talking to it.

the nickname function is pretty cool,
you can even correct it if it's pronouncing your name wrong. :D

EDIT: well, you can also get it unrooted...
you need an unlocked device & custom recovery.
they have a flashable zip on XDA
(which is still just a modification to the build prop

I can't show you my droid display right now, because I broke it yesterday  Threw my phone on the bed. Threw my belt on the bed. The buckle hit the phone in exactly the wrong place. Not very hard though; there is no damage to the outside of the phone at all. Not a scratch. But somehow the shock transmitted into the phone, and cracked the LCD screen. It's completely toast. I can't even power the phone down, other than by letting the battery run down :( . Worst thing is, I'm on the road at a conference. I have a spare phone I could use, but it's at home, and I'm not

The good news is that since I'm a geek, I will be able to fix it for only $49 in parts :geek:

$49 for a screen is a good deal.
Mine only has a shattered glass, and color issues, but is still mostly functional, but the model is not widespread enough to find 3rd party parts, and the OEM charges $240 for the part alone, which is roughly the price of the phone itself by now.
