I earned 30-40% of my current stash from selling runed scepters that hirathils drop and they cost around 1.8k each when you sell them. 60% comes from grinding for Legendary items and levels. I also went for a 2nd ROLS so I spent more time in the cave and I sold every potion and gem I found.
I didn't spend that much and if I didn't need it anymore I sold it. Did you sell everything that you could afford to sell?
Before I forget, I became a millionaire when I hit level 100. I'm sure that when you reach that level you'd either be a millionaire or close to it.
I always buy at least one of every item in the game and a ton of potions on hand at all times. On my main i'd probably have a mil if i sold everything off.
