hello JermDaa and heartly welcome on board. but this is a proposed concept that is, it is not yet included in game but can be if good algorithms can be found for ranged weapons within the programming limits of AT. And for images you can check in minarra's compartment in cross road gaurdhouse north of crossglen, there some bows but only for show not for use. So lets hope that this concept can be included in future of AT. but its really nice to know that you are also interested in this topic.

Hello peak head 52- and welcome to the forums.
Weapons in AT are currently defined as static item types. What this means is that somewhere in the source code lies the definition of the "Balanced Steel Sword" (for example) along with all its stats. The ones you have in your inventory have no other existence than the count you have (I.e. you have 2 BSS).
With this in mind, the only possibility to "fuse" weapons would be through a script, that would be equivalent to exchanging X items for another, different, item. Far too much work to apply this to all existing weapons.

Like, there would be a quest where you supply two weapons and get a "fused" version.
The 3 items would be hardcoded and specific but it'd still make an interesting quest.
e.g. "I am the Ancient Blacksmith! Kill the homeless man and get his glass bottle!
Kill the child and get his wooden sword!
WOOOOO! All Hail the Sword of Corrupted Youth!"
This can extend to any other suggested game mechanic on the forum sticky.

Yeah I was just giving an example
Maybe just kill his dog so he'd give you the toy.
Or, I dunno, bully him with mean words?

The player can always choose the fuzzy-lovey way if he wants to -- by reporting the Ancient Blacksmith to the city guards.
