Prison warden

Im at the prison, but cant get past the monster. The guy says find the old warden to get a necklace, I cant figure out who to talk to or where to get this necklace! Please point me in the right direction.

I have obtained the warden's necklace but somehow the Flagstone Guard keeps repeating the story but doesn't show a new option to drop the necklace at him. Does anyone have an idea what could have gone wrong?

I have done this 10 times. I go to the demon and then to the guard, and he always says the same thing. I cleared the prison before I got the quest though. I asked the guy in the church and he asked me to check the prison out, just the dialogue never changes with that guard. Please help

Please note that the guard and the warden are different characters.
