Dagger of The Shadow Priest
Quick Strike Dagger

Yes these are very effective weapons, but they are not the only useful weapons for players over level 50. It all depends on your play style

The Rapier of Lifesteal - is the weapon i use the most on my last main build that's currently at level 80.

Balanced Steel Sword - A weapon favored by Tek on many of his builds.

Gutsplitter - A weapon favored by the Mighty Sarumar, with high levels of Cleave this weapon can be quite deadly.

Unarmed - A favorite for many players for the longest time, the low AP cost means you can deal serious damage very quickly.

Yes, using either of those weapons can mean more attacks per turn.

I was only trying to think of a build that is created around the ELYR that I have not tried already.

With the ELYR your max AP would be at 14 instead of 12. There has got to be some way to maximize the damage with this using Speed Potions, cleave, Combat speed, and a lil luck.

Am I the only one who uses the barbed dagger and hit-and-run? I love playing a rouge. My latest build is based around the barbed dagger. I just run in, give them two hits, and leap out again. In a way, I find this rouge build more powerful than my rouge with the quickstrike dagger. Although I suppose when you're 50+, you won't have to use these tactics anyway. :)

I am not saying people do not have favorites, I am just saying that most weapons do not add a serious change to playsyle except being less effective. I forgot about the barbed dagger :-)

Ahh yes i love the Gutsplitter... it is the ultimate demon slaying device..

And something really inyresting about it..
You can easily skip combat speed skill and fokus to gain more cleave... or choose to use some other necklace than Jewell of Fallhaven...

If combined with a lot of the More Criticals skill, I think the Skullcrusher is another good one. A potential base damage of 26 and a 3.0 critical multiplier. You can only swing it twice (with JoF and combat speed) but if you land a critical that's all you'd need.

I try this promising weapon some time ago. IMO it is good for making personal record of max damage done.... only.....

Agreed, so my list is still reduced to Barbed Dagger (for the damage over time), QSD for maximum amount of attacks per round and the DotSP for 3.0 crithit.

Yep, pretty much. I could see using the balanced steel sword early on, until you can get DotSP, but only if you have a defensive build and don't want to pay the BC penalty on QSD.
