Excellent question. We will have to be sure to use a picture that can look good on the screen in both portrait and landscape mode.

I like the direction that the first image was going as well as the second one. I don't care for the third image though. Even though it is using actual in-game tiles I think it looks a bit more professional for the title screen graphics to be a bit more vibrant and larger than what is used in the actual game. Also it appears as if there is too much going on in it.

The second image has a minimalist approach and seems to point to a game of exploration. Simpler is sometimes better.

Just a couple of things I tried (all free to use images and the cooltext logo generator ).

These are just ideas, they can be modified, resized etc. I think they are too detailed myself, maybe more basic images would suit the graphical style of the game more?

I removed the corner tag from the last one, that can be done to all of them if necassary, all images are sourced from 'free to use comercially' searches.

I prefer the simpler one, it suits the game more I think. I know the game is more complex than most RPG's, but graphically, the other one seems to fit more.

...But, I posted for opinions, and yours is always apreciated
