Another one has appeared: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... l.Rewarded. This one does say it's open source, GPLv2 license, and gives a github URL. So maybe it's a legit branch, but I don't know enough to judge. I have not downloaded and installed it. It has an 18Mb installer, and requires a lot of extra permissions that include harvesting a lot of information from your phone, and run at startup, which makes me very suspicious.

Edit: based on the comments it has ads. Doesn't that violate the AT GPL license?

Well, adding ads does not in itself constitute a GPL violation, as long as you provide the sources for your ad banner :)
The 18MB installer is normal. My debug builds are also in the same ballpark. Release builds get special treatment before release.

I'd say he's somewhere in a grey area. Haven't yet decided whether he crossed the line or not. Ads sure don't play in his favor. We always use the same legal grounds anyways for takedown requests : sources are open, but content is copyrighted.

Here's another:

One of those must be the official version, but I'm not sure which one (one claims to be, but that does not necessarily mean much)

I've been playing this game for about 2 months now and am completely addicted. I love this game, great job to the developers. I've finished all the quests and have started several games to try new combat styles. Every time I start a new game I look for updates on Google play. In so doing I came across a version "andors trail 'rewarded'". Is this just another "andor's trail eZ" type of thing? If so, how do I my part in flagging that content to do the real developers justice?

Hello Jcable12, and welcome to the forums.

Andor's Trail 'Rewarded' behaved slightly better than other rip-offs. I think he even came here to announce it, and seems to have respected the GPL conditions.
Still a rip-off including ads, so I'd advice against downloading it, but we let him live so far. Might change our minds anytime though.
