End Turn When You Have Insufficient AP

My current character has 12 AP, JoF, and Neo Venemous Dagger (4 AP reduced to 3 AP). I can get 4 attacks in, which uses all of my AP so my turn will end when I reach < 3 AP or 0 after I attack. However, I decide to use an item while I have 6 AP left (it only requires 5 AP) then I get reduced to 1, I have to *manually* End Turn.

Yes, it is somewhat annoying. Just have to pay attention to the dialog window.

Should have added "Can we get the 'End Turn' function checked when we use an item as well as after you attack?"

agreed, when there are no possible actions to take... end the turn for sake of continuity.

http://andorstrail.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... t=end+turn = July

might be a bit though...

This may be way behind, but I absolutely agree if only for the fact that I don't feel like a total boob sitting there touching a screen repeatedly doing nothing wondering why I can't kill a mob...

I realize that this is a somewhat dated topic, but I'm not so sure it should just die. Recently, as part of a report on version 0.7.1a that I submitted, I shared the following:

"When in combat and choosing to flee, but don't have enough AP to do so, but do have enough to attack, you cannot attack unless you highlight a target (even when only one is available). Even though this technically isn't a bug, shouldn't attack mode remain on after reading that you don't have enough AP to flee? Perhaps guiding the player to either choose to continue combat or end turn could be a dialog box choice selection? Going with the choice of end turn will most likely only result in the player receiving his or her death blow (in the event that they were so low in HP that attempting to flee was the only option), unless the NPC/monster is currently under the effect of an actor condition that would continue even after choosing "End turn" and therefore validate such a choice."

In reviewing the forum for certain material, I stumbled upon this thread. Noticing the date of its creation, I rather felt like the issue warranted further discussion to see if there was enough reason to move forward with an alteration. Please share your thoughts and observations.

I agree 100%. I have used attack and flee tactics a lot, and the current behavior is very irritating.

This isn't the only thread about this, it seems to be one of those things that falls through the cracks but it shouldn't. If it needs done eventually and it won't take a crazy amount of time, get it done.
