If later on we start making more and more combat moving monsters then those you believe cleave is.useless will change there mind. But I agree when your a high level being attacked by a large mob cleave becomes one of those skills where you start to think "oh y did I waist the skill points on cleave"
Cleave is my choise for any build (earlier or later), sometimes i pick it before Combat speed
IMO it is usefull at any level unlike most of the new skills

No, it changed from +1 damage to +2 max damage, which is on average probably still +1 damage. I am happy I took it though, because cleave is very useful when getting swarmed by mobs with crithit skill
I started a build that was going to get cleave for the V7 but because there are so many other skills that are more useful getting cleave has been off again. lol

I will only have Clv 2 when over level 100, there is just not enough skillpoints... and the enemies are too easy, lol... hardest mob I killed according to overview: Plaguestride Master... bah comon, all those big bosses are wimps, even the awesome looking Hira'zinn

I completely understand.
The benefits of having more AC, BC, CHS, etc all the time (weapon Pro, Armor Pro, etc)
outweighs the benefits of being able to gain AP when fighting more than one monster at once. Which doesn't happen too often.

I thought my opinion on Cleave might change with V7 hitting the market, but it hasn't.
I'd like to get some opinions about the skill: Cleave.
What I got about this skill is that it only makes sense in those moments when you fight against more than a single enemy, as you need to kill an enemy in order to get your skill related reward and to actually make use of it battling the second.
Now in my fighting style this is of minor relevance as I always try to tackle only a single target. Okay, there are of course situations where this is impossible, but none of these situations couldn't be solved with a little luck and prior saving. Of course it might be fun to be able to kill 4 and more enemies with ease, but in the end it almost seems like a wasted skill point.
I'm curious where are those locations where this skill could be used?
I haven't seen big part of the map yet. So I suppose there are some locations where monsters can surround you.
I hope my character could run and change position during battle instead of spending skills for WA and Cleave.

So please, what do you think?
Hi Link!
I combined your post with a thread that is all about Cleave and it's benefits of lack there of.
This has been a common debate among players ever since cleave was introduced. I'm personally not a fan, but i know of members who are.
Ah, no worries Pyrizzle and thanks for pointing me towards this thread, but I went through the entire RolS thread (40 pages )... so 9 pages, c'mon, piece a cake.
