I just thought you weren't aware of the possibility, that you can continue a game without saving.
To be honest, I grew up learning to type on a typewriter, so there was just whiteout if I made a mistake, and no losing all my work either, didn't use a computer for writing papers until college and even then I still had to write it out by hand first.

But yeah, I understand you can continue where you left off from the auto-save, but I still feel safer being able to save it myself.

With the autosave per map section (tile) you could just go through the nearest "door"to save. That means that if you find something like a RoLS, you can just enter the next map section to save. This also works for those just wanting to save as most map "tiles" aren't very big.

I figured in those w/ multiple character saves (like myself). That's the reason for additional save points in cabins and such. Want to save your character and move on to a new one? Use a save point.

Anyone who wants to be able to save and exit at a moments notice can just exit and your game will be saved.

With my suggestion all options are covered. ;)

Not really! What if you don't want to save on map change?
I think this is too restrictive!

Nice point. ;) OK, most options are covered. Shouldn't have said "all", I know better than that, lol. One thing about gaming, ya can't please everyone, but you can try to please the majority. ;)

Let's find out what the majority wants!
But I'd say change should be made in little steps.

I still have not voted because I am so torn on how to answer.

I really do not use the save cheat, buuuuuuut I used it all the time on the level one challenge.

So I never use it, but abused the heck out of it on one build. I just don't see the need to use this option. If you are wondering around somewhere you really shouldn’t be in there should be consequences. I'm still a big supporter of the auto save idea (even though I know its not a popular option) You guys are always saying that Harder is better.

I don't! And this is why I love the idea of an "easy mode".
All the ones who want to hurt themselves shall use the hard or normal mode, but I think not everyone should be pressed into that!
Right now the game isn't that hard and I like this. So when we make it harder, we should make this optional!
We can not cut out every option that is making life easy, especially not when I can make my life harder with just not using this option. No one has to save, in fact everyone could play this game in very hard and "implement" permadeath - one would only have to stop playing and delete the save file after death! ;)

This could lead to a new Highscore list!
Which level did you reach before permadeath?
