My first quest, some help needed

Hi folks, I'm working with the editor in order to get my first quest done. I think I'll get it done by next week (RL keeps interrupting me).

It is implementing my beginner's quest idea http://andorstrail.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1579

TL;DR: Some kid's dog in Crossglen ran away, the hero gets it back. I abolished the leash idea, instead you talk to the dog and then carry it home in your backpack.

Now I would like to have a unique icon, maybe a slightly modified small rabid dog. Different color and mirrored should be enough, but strong enough to distinguish it as it will be around the small rabid dogs in the forest clearing between Crossglen and Fallhaven. As the dog gets carried after being caught I need the same icon for the item as for the monster. I think it should be possible to use an icon from a different "class", like using monsters_dogs:10 in the equipment section, right?

It would surely speed up my progress if someone would help me with placing the NPCs. I'm not so much into creating maps so I would like to avoid working my way into Tiled at the moment. Plus: is it possible to just mail the exported data to someone instead of doing a fork on GitHub? I think I will have to learn this one day anyway, but I again I would like to delay this.
