Back in the 90's when I was a certifiable Marathon addict, I found Gang of Four to be the perfect complement. I'd put a CD in my Mac, balance the audio levels, and get my game on.
AT requires a different sort of music. Something lighter and more humorous. Cream's Anyone for Tennis pretty much nails it. To expand the concept, other light folky things like Jethro Tull, Traffic, Fairport Convention, Renaissance... Flutes and recorders, and a gently humorous attitude.

Actually, I don't fight any more. I let the gods handle it. They love fighting. I get them to fight each other and leave us in peace. It's bad enough when humans start trouble.
