The quick answer is that we didn't create the tilesets they come from several sources as noted in the about/help section under the Authors tab. There are several resources used from opengameart.org, sourceforge.net, and deviantart.net, etc.

Y'know I knew that, but in all fairness why are the centres missing... :(

Rooting around in the map, I noticed that any using the carpets or cliff sides were typically forced to repeat the texture.. repeatedly.

i do see them in the game, we need to ask Ian...
or whoever made the maps i see them in.

the Iqhan (PW) Cave, we can see the use of the missing center tiles...
unless he was cutting & pasting with an editor?
but even then, they should be saved to source.

i really thought i would find out on my own, when i went to finalize a map...
but again, since you asked... i will fan the flames!

I just realized that in Tiled, with Z or X, I can rotate or flip the tile respectively. Why do we have all four corners, and no centres..?

So after realizing I could rotate and flip objects, I began doing so.
I wanted the sanctum to look abandoned, but undisturbed. I don't wish this area to have any monsters. I'm a firm believer in buffer zones.
The next areas start splitting up with staircases.

I tweaked the entry way with dirt to accentuate the weathered appearance.

i love the extra work, it is very fitting!

but - also check the upper right corner for the shadow,
it wouldn't cover another plateau of equal height.

the shadow would fall behind it,
leaving the area around tree in full light of the "sun"

good stuff!
and very exciting...
