Involuntary Carrier Quest

After getting the Ring of the Guardian and Polished Ring of Backstabbing, I had no trouble grinding meat in the Loneford area and getting enough bonemeal to get up to Blackwater. I muddled around there, but could not decide which side to choose. So I returned to Fallhaven for more Bonemeal potions and entered the caverns east of Loneford to start the Involuntary Carrier quest.
I was able to get to Ulirfendor, then over to the guardians and then back to Ulirfendor. That was pretty difficult for my lv 22 character. After returning to the guardians again, defeating them and being inflicted with rotworms, I could not get back out. So I reverted to an earlier save point and now I'm heading out to Brimhaven.
Just for the sake of comparison - should I typically be able to get through this quest at lv 22? I have made some skill choices that I think I would do differently next time, but I'm curious how my results compare to others.

I'm currently at:
LV 23, HP 47, AP 5, AC 148%, AD 18-30, BC 106%
skills: WA 1, Dodge 3, TH 1

TIA!
Chris

Two things, that quest (I would say is for around levels 30-40), Im actually suprised you made it as far as you did, that means your building a balanced build.

Second, there is no Brimhaven yet, what city were you thinking of?

I would suggest trying to go to remgard for some experience and new items. If your strapped for gold play in bwm. I to am surprised that you made it as far as you did. Good job.

Thanks. I suspect that I'm defense-heavy. The various creatures in that area don't hit me often...but I don't hit them often enough, either. One Vaeregh I can handle, but two is difficult - that battle tends to go on for many, many rounds (to the point of boredom) but I probably only need 1-2 bonemeals to get past. Same goes for pairs of the more powerful Allaceph.

I was thinking of Brimhaven...guess I won't make it ;) I just follow the signs wherever they lead. Not sure what other areas there are for me to explore. I guess I should compare the map of currently completed areas to my own map to see what areas I have yet to cover.

I've been to:
Crossglen
Fallhaven
Crossroads
Loneford
Flagstone
Vilegard (feels like I have more to do down there)
Prim
Blackwater (in the mountain - is there a separate settlement? I expected more there)

I most recently was heading NE from Loneford along the water past the frogs to the bridges - that's where I had intended to follow the signs to Brimhaven.

It would be nice if we could buy a rough map in the earlier part of the game that showed the various cities (perhaps with roads marked as closed?). It would not need to be as detailed as the map that shows where we've been -- just the cities and major roads. It would seem natural that at least one of the villages early on would likely have a map maker or someone that sells them. Then could offer updated maps for sale as new releases become available.

I like the way the map is set up now, however, it would be nice if you could purchase a map that only shows the cities, and not the roads connecting them.

Also, the direction you were going (towards Brimhaven) can take you to Remgard, but I would recommend waiting until lvl 40-50 before heading there.

The more BC and HP you can get the easier the trip to Remgard will be... ;)

The DotSP is way better than Flagstone's Pirde.
