Items to begin with?

Hello Andor's brothers! (we all are, aren't we?)

I would like to know what items you purchase first, or what you grind for to get fast.
What early items you swear on, which are like in all of your Builds.

(No jokes aka Bread for the quest please! :D )

I grind in the snake and I grind there for a while. I clear the first two maps in there and most of the time this requires I turn back to sleep in crossglen. Before 0.7.0, I would use this meat dropped from the snakes for consumption as well as selling, but now I purely sell them. This continues until I can get to the boss snake and gain his weapon. Then I use that weapon to grind the various canines and anklebiters around crossglen and fallhaven. Again, I sell the meat to purchase a Jewel of Fallhaven.
Other items I buy:
Fine green hat,
Harden long sword,
Regular potion of health
Ring of +x damage

I know about JoF and getting this, same to Hardened long sword, then i normally go for Villain's ring x2 and hardened leather armor, because i think 1 DR is a nice to have stat.

Are there other items i should farm for?

I've gone after the sharp steel dagger for high AC and decent dmg. Villain's blade is nice choice too.

I'm not buying that dagger because i think i'll better go for hardened long sword and then to flagstone prison where i get flagstone's pride
that is what i'm using almost always, except vs monster which i cant crit.

I grind the mainland area just outside of Crossglen and Fallhaven (The rabid dogs have low HP and drop meats often) after collecting a few things from Fallhaven (I skip buying stuff in Crossglen because it's mostly junk) I eventually try to sneak my way up to the guardhouse for a few quests and items.

A few things i usually get pretty quick:
Snakeskin Boots - gives 6% BC
Villian's Leather Armor - Great for crit builds if that is your build style
Polished Ring of Backstabbing - Also great for crit builds
Villain's Ring - Great ring for AD and AC
Jewel of Fallhaven - Lowers AP, always helpful!

And POTIONS!!! Stock up on lots and lots of potions!

Also you may want to invest in: (items for quests)
Milk
Cooked Meat
Mead

Vacor's Boots of Attack & Irogotu's Necklace are items from early quests...
they have huge value - but no cost at all, aside from said quests.

Missing Pieces & Fallen Friends - respectively.
i know, these aren't items to buy...
but they can fill up some slots early & provide serious bonuses.

My early grind is very similar to pyros, with an early focus on rabid dogs and snakes for meat to fund the items. I rush qsd then jof then the villain rings and go from there.
