Do you find the necklaces worthwhile replacements for JoF?

I have build without JoF, idea is max bc (without taking any bc in lvl up), max damage with (without criticalls) high ac using heavy armiur and two-handed weapon

So, what weapon is that? xulvir? And what did you use before you got that one? and what necklace?

Currently xul'viir, yess i know that there are better ones... but i like the story behind of this weapon

... hmm before... the Gutsplitter... and in this build i pick axe profiency skill (in low level) and later two-handed sword profiency. Necklace of the protecror is my choise.

Sometimes sacrificing a swing per turn for a few points in DR can really make a huge difference. I've switched a few times to a pure DR equipment set up to help make things a lil easier. Not using BMPs can make things a little trickier so having to use less potions is a big advantage for this build.
