I ddidn't know that could influence the future of the game.

What happends if you return from Remgard and see Unzel?

On a more general level how do you pick sides?

Recently, I help a poor sheperd find 4 sheep. Now I'm asked to kill them all (the sheep, not the sheperd). As far as I can see killing them brings a reward, saving them does not.

But I can't kill them, that poor shepard doesn't have anything else to live. :(

All actions have consequences... :o :!: ;)

Always wanted to say that...

Whatever choice you, reflects on your game choices later... a good example is the play between Prim and BlackWater Mountain...
As the game is not complete, the final interplay of choices and consequences is not yet visible...

For the sheep thing,
I declined to kill them. Though, there is a reward, I didn't want to have a -ve association with my character which might affect the options available to me later.
Hence I took the side of Prim, and of Remgard in the choice between Remgard vs. Algangror, of Feygard in Feygard's Errands, again Feygard at Loneford, etc.
However, I've also consumed Bonemeal potions by the liter, sided with Vilegard (though without killing the Feygard guard), performed tasks for the Thieves' Guild, etc.

I just pick on the choices which seem to be beneficial for the greater good - it may be less rewarding immediately - but may keep my gameplay mostly +ve.
Which choices are correct... what the future holds... only Oskar knows... :ugeek:

What do you mean by "-ve" and "+ve"?

-ve = Negative, i.e. bad consequences
+ve = Positive, i.e. good consequences

If I save the shadow from vacor maybe the shadow might save me from a demon or boss! Who knows because AT is still in alpha.

I didn't kill the sheep and I feel good about it. Now I can still access the dialog

Sheep: Baaaa!

I'm going for v+ because of RaptorNXT. Inspiration.

I sided with Unzel but that was before the second part of the quest was released.
I didn't want to mess with a crazy wizard who wants to use the rift spell to destroy the world!
Well and I don't regret it. That's the best thing if you see your choices were good ones ;)

I sided with Vacor personally.. I tend to like to go against the shadow :P..

Also,
The reward for siding with Vacor fit my play style a little bit better
..

As a tip, for whenever you get into situations like these where you have to side with one side or another, you can always fork your save files so you can compare the immediate benefits.. But nobody knows what consequences the future holds in the long-term..
