Why cant I get to Lodar's maze?

So assuming I have to talk to Ogam to get through the Password section with the Forest Guardian, but I just seem to be going round in circles.Or have I got two stories completely crossed here?

SO yep kind of stuck.. Any help greatly appreciated.

Trouble is I can't get into the first part of the maze because I can't get past the Forest Guardian, who just keeps saying I don't know the password. Seen

There's a whole quest line (actually, the main quest line) to follow in order to get to the right discussion...

...with Ogam in order to get the password.

You need to make sure you advance in all the quests still opened in your quest log. Check it out, and see what you can accomplish.

If you already talked to ogam in Vilegard,

the password is glow of the shadow.

After you do that you can enter the maze and also get some sweet sweet xp.

I had missed out the Thieves Guild bit, and hence talking to Ogam wasn't working
