Yes, get IF as soon as you can. Also, remember, some monsters are immune to critical hits. I'm not saying that crits aren't important, just be aware of this fact, which you probably are.

Some of the hardest baddies are immune to critical hits. Hirazn is immune. That plus the hp regen is hard.

Health increases survivability. I may benefit you carrotoo. You have extremely low survivability.
The thread is turning from carrotoo concussion into criticise carrotoo stats!

Ok thanks! How many IF do you guys suggest?

Well, criticisms, if taken positively, will lead you to development/improvement :D

I recommend getting ALL of the increased fortitude as soon as you can.

It's very powerful. It's useful in most ALL builds!

Seriously? ALL?! Is there a max level?

There is no max level, but the relative benefits get less the more you get. If you get IF2 then your HP go up 100% faster than with IF1 (i.e. at twice the rate). If you get IF3 then your HP go up 50% faster than with IF2. If you get IF4 then your HP go up 33% faster than with IF3. If you get IF5 then your HP go up 25% faster than with IF4. Etc. I have IF4, so the next level would only give me a 25% boost in the rate I get HP. I have 188HP, and I get another 4 every level. So looking ahead a ways, 30 levels from now I'll have 308HP, whereas if I had IF5 I would have 338HP. It's not enough of a difference to be worth the extra skill point in IF. There are other things I want more (both cleave and taunt, which with the required prior skills will use up my next 7 skill points!).

The maximum increased fortitude that is useful is about 4 or 5. Because I have a defense build I will get 5. For a more offensive build like ninja you should have 3 or something.

In the late game I would stop getting the if and going for concussion and stuff.
It all matters on your build...

Well, I admit that I have not completely ruled out putting my next skill point into IF5. Then the next two would get me cleave, then I would go for taunt. I guess it will just depend on how I feel on the day I get to spend the skill point. I am certainly not going beyond IF5 though.
