My phone died and I'm in AT withdrawal, so I gave ARChon a try. I like being able to navigate with the keyboard, though I haven't yet found keys that let me move diagonally. I also haven't figured out how to move my savefiles from Android to Chrome (on OS X) and back.
Has anyone else tried it?

Re: Playing Andor's Trail in Chrome
Thanks for the reply!
This is actually running AT in the Chrome browser on a Mac, not running in ChromeOS.
I've enabled obstacle avoidance, and it does help with general movement, but it doesn't help me dodge mobs. I'm much more dextrous with a keyboard than touchscreen, so the the dodging is the main place I would expect the keyboard to help.
This is my first smartphone (an old Nexus S), so I don't have anything else for playing AT until I replace it. But I'm watching eBay for deals, so so maybe soon!

Hi, I can't run Andor's trail on chrome, because it says that there is no "manifest.json" file.mathuaerknedam wrote:My phone died and I'm in AT withdrawal, so I gave ARChon a try. Re: Playing Andor's Trail in Chrome
It's been so long that I've replaced my phone and no longer have the app I created, and don't remember what I did. I did follow generic, non-AT directions, and converted it by hand. Have you tried one of the automatic app=converting apps?

Re: Playing Andor's Trail in Chrome
I now have AT running on Chrome in OS X 10.10. It took three simple steps:
Incidentally, this is *not* the process I used before, which required manual modification of the APK. This was incredibly easy, and while Google could make it simpler by adding a "add to chrome" link to the Play Store (skipping steps 1 and 2), it really couldn't be any easier.
I didn't play for long, but everything seemed to be working. The only thing I miss is diagonal movement.
- Install ARC Welder: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... dn/related
- Download the AT APK: https://code.google.com/p/andors-trail/ ... loads?tm=2
- launch Arc Welder and add AT
- Play!

Well done. You beat me to it, couldn't find the time to try ARCWelder. Thanks for trying and reporting.mathuaerknedam wrote:I now have AT running on Chrome in OS X 10.10. It took three simple steps:

We can trust Google to write some good code...
Do you know where the AT saves are in such a setup ? This plus a synchronization using some cloud-storage service could help you play AT on all your devices as if you were always on the same one.
I checked in the code, and indeed, you only have the usual "WSAD" for movement. You can use the virtual DPad + mouse to get diagonal movement, but I would find it a bit clumsy myself....mathuaerknedam wrote: I didn't play for long, but everything seemed to be working. I would consider making diagonal movement available from keyboard, but it raises a few questions:
- Numpad would be great for a 9-key-square, but most laptops lack them.
- Extending WSAD to use Q E Z and C for diagonals could work, but in this case, X seem like a more natural choce for "down" than S. Or maybe both ?
- It's a pain with international keyboards....
