I'm one if those whose playing style means the gold is low until later in the game. Speed potions are a money pit compared to spending skill points on CS, for me

Kazual Rotworms was brutal, but after "falling unconscious" many times, I was finally successful in getting the Dark Protector. With it and two levels of Light Armor Proficiency, I've got my BC up to 81% from 62%.
Thinking about trying the road to Remgard next.

You can make the healing part of this quest a bit easier:
Just hunt for an Irdegh Poison Gland before you go for the Lich.

Yup. I forgot to do so as it's been 2 years since I built a new character.

Well I'm 3/4 of the way back to Remgard to complete the quests that started there, then I will head back to the cave east of Loneford as I forgot to pickup a key item.
I've still not entered the Iqhan or the Slime caves, nor have I gone into the Charwood Mine.

Level 33
AC: 208
AD: 22-33
CHS: 19
ECC: 14
BC: 109 (not a single level up. All equipment and skill)

Time to venture into the Green Maze...

Level 36
HP: 100
AC: 213
AD: 24-35
CHS: 19
CM: 2.0
ECC: 14
BC: 109 (not a single level up. All equipment and skill)
DR: 1

Level 40 will be my 3rd level up of Regeneration and most likely my last.

Good luck :) You need an alternative to those crits though. They will do nothing against the worst of what's in the Green Maze.

Oh yah. I've got my Remgard gloves and boots for those immune to critical hits.
I'm not to far from the ghost/bat cave. Pretty smooth sailing so far.

So I limped into Lodar's house (let's just say that I died and reloaded many times) with just 3 bonemeals (went in with about 70), but no other healing potions or meat to my name. Although I do have a half dozen each of the various foods. Now I have to go back and forth twice through a few maps of the cave. That is not going to be easy. Thank god for Regeneration. But finding a safe spot to heal is almost as hard as traversing the cave itself. There is no way that I can make it although way back to civilization.

I don't care how high your AC and AD is, not being able to attack 3+ times/round really hurts in that cave. I struggled with my duel-wielding club hero too.

even more reason for the tweaking of the system so that the 2 handed and other higher AP weapons are worthwhile. How many levels of CE do you have?
