Stuck in Remgard

I somehow managed to reach Remgard after burning through my bonemeal potions. I've completed some of the quests there including the Algrangor storyline. But I can't make my way back to East Loneford because I have only 1 bonemeal potion and a few healing potions left. I'm not quite powerful enough to blaze through all the Arulir and Plaguestrider Masters. What should I do?
Will it help if I stayed in Remgard and just focused on grinding some levels?

Have you some weapons with more AD (like Flagstone pride)and Regeneration?
You need more AD to make serious damage to the spiders.

You can buy all kind of healing potions in the church of Remgard (but the strongest are really expensive).
Have you slept in Remgard? When not you can die and wake up before the spider cave.

Do you have any levels of Regeneration? If not, grind until you can get one. With Re 1 you can heal without potions, so you only need to get through one map at a time, and then wait at the start of the next map until you have all your HP back. You can farm the wolves and foxes for meat too. There is a chance of food poisoning, but you could avoid that with some save - load "cheating".

I agree with Firefly about your AD. The Arulirs and Trolls have quite a high DR, so more AD would help a lot. You should put more level ups into that.

I'm currently using Flagstone's Pride. My stats are inclusive of it. I don't have Regeneration but I'm willing to grind for it. I've bought some of the expensive healing potions and hopefully they'll suffice but I have no plans on leaving until I get at least Regen 1. I have lots of meat!

Thank you so much. I'll try to put everything in AD everytime I level up at least till 44 but then I'll still have 28 max damage. Will that do?

There's nothing you can change in Remgard that would help boost your AD. So I think your approach has to be to get Regeneration, and then rely on patience at the start of each new map to let your HP build back up. Save your potions for when you absolutely need them.

Your choice of gear appears to be driven somewhat by DR. That's very useful early in the game, because monsters don't dish out much damage. It's much less useful later on, because they dish out a lot more damage, and/or hit you with nasty actor effects.

That's true, and exactly what I was thinking. What gloves and helmet would you recommend so I can increase AC, BC, AD etc. instead of focusing on DR? They don't have to be in Remgard, I'll pick them up when I leave here.

Once again, thank you so much for taking the time to help me out. I really appreciate it!

I'm not sure why some of your stats are so low.

Have you done the Charwood quests? The rewards can boost both your AC & BC..........and what about Blackwater, their equipment has good defensive qualities?

Zafferjaq has just returned from his 2nd trip to Remgard and is at Lvl 42, his (brief) stats with standard equipment are:-

AC 244% - AD 29_44 - BC 151%/3

with BW gear equipped:- AC 212% - AD 28_42 - BC 185%/3

I guess it comes down to bad gear selection. I focused way too much on damage resistance. How many hits do you get per turn? What's your crit?

And I haven't done the trial by fire quest yet. The last time I tried was at level 32 or so and I got inside quite deep within the mines before I just couldn't fight the enemies there anymore. To think this whole situation could have been averted had I brought 50 or so bonemeal potions!
