on to the next note: cleave is amazing!!
if your build is set up a certain way,
it can be completely devastating.
Yes, dual wielding RoL gives you....0-6 HP per hit and 6 HP per kill, which equals pure awesomeness! Who needs BC when you can gain this much HP so easily!

I'm considering trying dual wield for the first time, believe it or not, and I want to understand how the AP works for two weapons, especially that don't match AP. If you have an AP 5 and AP 4, and are wearing JoF, how many swings of each do you get?

If you go into the skills list and check out Fighting style: dual wield, there's a good explanation there I think.

Effective attack costs are therefore 4 and 3, and dual wielding you get the higher of the two, so 4 AP. Assuming you have CS 2 you will get 3 attacks per round.

Thanks for the pointer! I guess I never read all the way through that before. I think I understand it well enough now.
For my case, then if I have the AP 5 in main hand and AP 4 in off hand, then with no skill, it is 9AP for one swing with each, and I get only 1/4 of the off hand AC, AD, etc. With level 1, then it is AP 7 for a swing with each, and I get 1/2 the AC etc. With level 1 it is AP 5 for a swing, and all the AC etc.
So the eventual goal could be CS2, Dual wield level 2, JoF, a pair of AP 4 (3 with JoF) weapons, for four swings of both with full effect. Or two RoL for three swings of both with full effect.

Yeah, I think with dual wield you either go for level 2, or don't bother with it at all.

Definitely. Probably true for the other two, as well, though perhaps to a lesser degree.
So now the question is whether to go for two daggers or two swords, but I have plenty of time to decide how best to spend Oegyth crystals.

I spent extra crystals so that I can use daggers or swords (or a combo, which is actually what I use most of the time). Kind of an expensive choice though
