My two cents. I think that the drop chance should increase greatly if you are fighting 2, 3, 4, or more trainers at once. I'm not just talking the standard 1x/2x/3x/4x/5x chance per monster, I'm thinking exponential. 2-3 of these guys are hard to face at once, with 4 -6 of their attacks at once, isntant KO is a big risk, and this would be a great way to reward that risk.

Lol! I just managed to increase the drop ratio of the ring to 100%!!!
Just for fun I equipped a wooden club to kill the gargoyle trainers. I did kill one and it dropped the ring. I first thought it was out of a pure case. But afterwards I killed 14 other gargoyle trainers, each dropping another ring!

There should be something wrong with the game mechanics...

I tried what you said but forgot to equip the wooden club so I was going at it unarmed took about 60 whacks but ended with a Ring of GREATER Shadow Didn't even know these things existed, great easter egg Dev's I thank you

Is this an april fools joke?
I just killed almost 10 gargoyle trainers and a few masters with the club and got nothing. I killed over 10 bare-handed and got nothing!!!!

It looks like Samuel is doing aprils fools.

Did either of you submit a bug report? If so, did it include a copy of your associated game save file?

I will surely submit a bugreport, when I can reproduce the behavior.
But I think the earliest date to reproduce it will be 01.04.2012...

I figured as much, but in fairness posed a question to you that reflected giving you the benefit of doubt. So, just for the record, which out of the two groups do you feel enjoyed your deceit more; the author, assistant developers & content contributors, or the players? Whether from the perspective of either group, neither enjoy wasting time looking to either fix or acquire something from a bogus scenario you created. Additionally, neither group is exactly pleased with players becoming frustrated with the game play experience of Andor's Trail due to not being able to reproduce your "tip".

I'm sorry for any hardship caused by my part of the pranking. It was meant in good fun with the nature of April Fools day.

In fairness both of our "pranks" proscribed a 100% success rate, I ran to the home town bought the item he mentioned, and tried it, and when nothing dropped I realized I had been fooled quite quickly, and harbored no ill will realizing it was April Fools day, and all I had really spent was what 50 imaginary gold coins, and a solid 2 minutes of my time trawling back and forth.

I in fact find the public admonishment deemed necesarry and meted out by yourself to be more damaging than what was intended as a simple prank, especially when for personal discourse a PM would suffice for all other than administators or moderators intending to leave a general rule in place for the public going forward. As your name doesn't not denote either of those positions I was some what taken aback.

@Mods - This is now entirely off topic my apologies, i wanted to make this point so that ctnbeh13 could see, as well as a mod being able to see the issue and decide what's best.

@All - Sorry to anyone who spent time and resources on trying to find items based on our false tips, Sorry to any dev's that spent time trying to figure out what the heck was going on.
