I found a "Polished sparkling gem" hidden on

It was hidden in an otherwise pointless spot and a message popped up when I found it, so it seems something special.
Is it?? I found it in the directory and there seems to be other in other places, but according to the directory it's worth just 15 coins and I found no mention of it in the forums, so it doesn't seem related to a quest. Or is it???

Btw there's also a much more common (I already had 18 of them) "Sharpened gem" a couple steps away, hidden in the same way and with the same pop-up message (I had to compare the gems' count in the inventory before and after the message to realize that this was a sharpened gem)

Well actually though I'm now going back and I trod the opposite way months ago (then took a break from the game), so this might be a common feature of this place that I forgot? (but the polished sparkling gem seems rare and mysterious nonetheless? )

It is currently useless. That is other than selling it

I actually found other three now, I'm almost sure at least one in Guynmart castle, the others don't remember (but I was most of all there and in the Aliceph cave)
