The Gleaming Claymore of Ruin, a two-handed sword with a -7 BC. With the two-handed sword proficiency skill increasing BC by 30% x 3 levels should get you a 2% gain. I.e. you should see a -5%. But instead, we gain nothing. Meanwhile all the players using a two-handed sword with positive BC gain more.

This needs to be fixed.

Yeah that does need to be adjusted, great find!

(At least it doesn't make the negative number bigger :lol: )

At each level it's rounded down. So 30% * -7 = -2.1, rounded down and negated is 2. So I think 3 levels should give the weapon a BC of -1%. Regardless of the details though, we agree in principle.

yes, Jackson, I messed up the math.
I seem to recall having this discussion with oskar during testing skills and he was 100% against making this change. It's just interesting that being away from playing for so long then coming back, things like this bother me more now than they did in the past.

I guess my opinion differs greatly from Oskar's on this point. I feel quite strongly that this should be changed.

It will make a few weapons overpowered, in particular the QSD. That could be taken care of though.
