He/she/it is a tough one for sure. Your stats are good and you should be able to take him out with a little patience and a good sized pile of healing potions/food.

When facing the Hira'zinn i usually use a lot of hit and run tactics (Move in, attack 1-2 times, move out, repeat). Having a few skill points invested into Evasion can be a huge help with this (Because it lowers the fail rate for fleeing).

Stock up on potions and take your time fighting the Hira'zinn, it will go down.

Thank you pyro' any weapon you can recommend? Most of mine offer crit hits which are no help. I tried a few different ones flagstone pride and the one better forgot the name. Is it normal to only hit 6-8 points per hit? I had a lot of BMP but I wasn't gaining ground he would heal the few points I could hit him for. So I just left figured I could stand there and waste 500 BMP or just try again after I changed a few things.

I took him down with Flagstone's Pride, Jewel of Fallhaven, Combat Speed Level 2, lots of Bonemeal potions, High AC and AD, and DR-giving items (Enhanced Remgard combat shield, Serpent's hauberk, Shield proficiency Level 2)... Was a long fight... But he went down in the end...

Hira'zinn: I'd recommend adjusting your gear to deal with the fact that critical hits won't work again this NPC, and his DR is 10 so he'll automatically reduce every hit by 10 damage so it will seem like you are not hitting for much. The status effects he can inflict on you also lower the amount of damage you can deal in a turn (Fear is a pain!!)

Try switching to an weapon that has a really low Attack Cost (like the QSD and then using a set of the Ring of the Protector, they will give you a big boost to your BC)

Another suggestion:

Switch to all DR gear right before you start fighting him.
From Gear alone (excluding skills) you can get a DR of 9
adding a few for Bark Skin can raise it even more

The Npcs AD only goes up to 6-12 when it lands a successful critical hit. With enough DR you could lower his attacks until it is only able to hit you for 1-2 damage (until he starts giving you fear lowing your DR again)

Yeah thank you. OK now can I bother you for the gear that will give me the best Dr. I also wear two rols. Thought they were the best and not change those. I also have the marrowtaint. And serpents haubeck or what ever is called. I will buy whatever. Thank you for your help

Oh yeah you have 2 rols... Keep those on! Well maaaaybe switch out one (so you can keep the shadow regeneration)

I was going to say, it's probably your low AD that's making this fight tough for you.

OK fiernaq I know where my next level ups are going. Plus I bought gear to raise my DR to 6. I will get him.
