Idk if u still need the help but I defeated him somewhere in levels 38-42... in remgard the potion maker sells you potions to make your hits harder and more accurate I had those going along with many cooked perch (+4hp each turn adds up), you should easy be able to kill him with those.

I kill the beast at Lv71, without taking a potion.
Quickstrike dagger, AP12,Jewel of fallhaven, attack cost 2, AD 33.
I don't have a RoLS, but pusue upgrading instead. Some ring increase AD by 6 may help you out.

Got the bastard at lvl 30 with hit and run using minor potion of speed and liquid courage , fun battle ( can't say the same about those pesky ghosts).
Is he the hardest monster ?

Now. Look at my stats. Is it good for the fight? I haven't killed "it" yet. These are my combat stats below.

Gz on the kill . I see you use a 3ap wep , you should try QSD ( i love crit build, but QSD is so OP with high AD).
I wonder from where do they extract the liquid courage...
Anyhow , the armor is worse then the one from Zortak leader , and the sword requires 3 crystals to remake ( not worth it in my opinion). So .... good thing they got the potions in this quest line

thanks for the hit and run advice, that worked for me. only level 37 and mostly vendor gear, serpents haulberk, irogotu's necklace, vacor's boots and balanced steel sword. (looking to improve of course). i think i went through over 350 or maybe 400 bonemeal potions to get through this
and i couldn't make it back out. i had a lot of fun though
and especially, thanks for the game, really having some fun with it
