I'm working on grinding up gold to get 2 sets of gear, 1 with crit damage and 1 without. What gear do you reccomend the most for each build type?

For rings, you want PoBS for crits, Villain's Ring for offensive build against crit immune monsters, or RoP for a defensive build.

For a weapon with no crits, the Balanced Steel Sword is the best in the game, and can be obtained early.

Maybe Tony Parker can show a few modern tricks to Michael Jordan... Not that he needs them. (I don't know jack about sports in general, just trying to continue on the analogy).

replaced with the Shimmering Hat, but that was much later...

I was looking at that exact hat and was thinking about getting it for the Non-crit gear setup

Right now i am using:
Hardened Leather Cap: AC +3%, CS -1, BC +8%
Hardened Leather shirt: BC 5%, DR 1
Jewel of Fallhaven: AP -1
Wooden Defender: AC -8%, CS -5, BC 14%, DR 1
Villain's Ring (x2): AC 25%, AD 3-6, HP 4
Vacor's Boots of Attack: AC 9%, BC 2%
Reinforced Steel Gloves: AC -4%, AD 1-3, BC 11%
Quickstrike Dagger: AP 3, AC 20%, BC -20%

Looking to replace my boots and armor sometime soon, too busy right now taking down Shadow Gargoyles and their masters
