Quest question

No rest for the guilty: I started this quest and fought and killed Aulowenn, I went back and told Tiqui.

This was a couple of weeks ago, yesterday checking up on unfinished or outstanding quests I noticed that this quest was listed as unfinished.

The last entry read "I attacked Aulowenn"

Thinking that I must have been mistaken about telling Tiqui I went back to finish off the quest. Speaking to Tiqui on this occasion the dialogue was the same as if I was talking to him for the first time. There was no option to tell him I'd killed Aulowenn.

So I killed him too!

Quest finished. 8-)

So, 48 quests completed, and 2 with unfinished story-lines, Is that it for now?

If you have completed 48 quests, that's all of them for now. You can visit 377 places, And of course you can collect the L&E items.

I was surprised by the quest outcome, I didn't think I should be able to kill both Aulowenn and Tiqui but I definitely have both Aulowenn's ring and sword, and Tiqui's shield and hammer.

I'm on 362 places visited - that's something I'll have to think about, I'm surprised I've missed so many. I'll have a go for the L&E, but I'll not hold my breath, nothing's turned up so far.

Indeed, you found a bug in this quest.
The requirement to be able to tell Tiqui you attacked Aulowenn is to have told Tiqui you attacked Aulowenn, instead of requiring to have attacked Aulowenn.

You can still kill both though.
I'll fix it for the next version.

Actually no. It seems fine. You need to have Aulowenn's ring in your inventory, and have gone through some dialogues that you must already have gone through to attack Aulowenn.
Could you send your whole quest log for this quest ?

That might explain it: like I said it was a couple of weeks ago that I thought I'd finished the quest and when I went back to see why it was showing as unfinished I'd already dumped Aulowenn's ring in my storage box when I spoke to Tiqui.

Although I'm fairly sure that I did speak to him after killing Aulowenn - (it's not as if they are very far apart and other characters of mine have done the quest and know what's involved).

I think that ability to kill both or neither should be preserved for quests such as this one and Vacor vs Untzel. Maybe it's possible to make NPC back into NPC instead of enemy if you flee the combat and rest, by the way?

No. You have to make a choice. Especially in the case of vacor vs untzel.
there is a quest later on that envolves them.

I know. But I still think that the option to kill both should be preserved, because, realistically you can do that. You have sword and you are stronger.
