I am attempting the Lost Potion Quest.
What level do I need to be to complete this quest?
I've reached the cave all the way to the "green ghosts" but then got swarmed to point I had to back track out of there. Barely made it out alive
Please help! What do I need to kill the stupid monsters?

Good job to the Creator of the Green Maze and the Lost Potion Quest.

I made it though about about the same level as you are, but it sure wasn't easy. What weapon are you using?

Be sure to fight at places they can't completly surround you, like walls or a small passage.
Some monsters are static, so defeat first the moving and then attack the static.
A weapon with high AC and a sufficient AD (with base) is better than the QSD. HP-generating weapons, ROLS and skills help too.
Cleave can be a super skill down there.

I used hit and flee tactics too. Go in and beat them up, but preferably without killing any (because then they respawn). Do that until you are nearly dead, then flee to a safe spot and regain health. If you can make them all really weak when you are at full health killing them is obviously a lot easier.

Be aware that they will mob you, but only if you are in a fight. If you are not in a fight they move around randomly, but unless one bumps into you they will not attack. "Bumps into you" means stepping onto your square or one next to you. If they try to move onto your square they will always attack. If they are next to you, there is a 15% chance they will attack, which is reduced by 5% of each level of the Evasion skill. So if you have 3 levels of Evasion they will never attack when just standing next to you. This means that on many maps (including some of the Hirathil ones) there are places you can stand in the middle of the map and never get attacked. Working out where those places are is down to patience: stand at the entrance to the maps, and look for places where the monsters never go.

Thanks for the help! Fortunately, I was able to clear it just the way you suggested but before I read your reply. Great minds think alike...hehe.

Fighting style: dual wield (2)
One handed sword proficiency (1)
Dagger proficiency: (1)
Specialization: dual wield (1)
Light armor proficiency: (2)

Great news...I also got the RoLS last night! OMG! My heart fell out my va-jj when that beautiful ring popped up. I used the "line up 3 Gargoyle Masters/Trainers and leave one to the side and save" technique. I killed them all, and reloaded from that spot until it gave me it's booty. ≈600 times. No magic finder.

Well, you have only 10 AP, so you didn't take any levels of Combat Speed. You also have an attack cost of 6. That means you only get one hit per round. If you get both levels of CS, get two Balanced Steel Swords from the crossroads guard house, and the Jewel of Fallhaven, you will have 12 AP and an attack cost of 3, meaning you get four attacks per round. That will make an enormous difference.

Thanks for the advice rijackson741. I will work on my CS immediately. I did't know how that worked.
