Hey guys :)

I am really in love with the game and try to become as strong as I can but I am not good at skilling or choosing good equipment. I wanted to ask for some advice on what to choose and where to find it. :)

At the moment I am lvl 37
AC: 204
AD: 8-20
Crit: 22 ( factor 2.0 and effective critical hits 15%)
BD: 95
DR: 5

Equipment used :
Goat leather hat
Lightweight Armour (the expensive one from regard)
Irogotus necklace
Spiked shield
Lord Erwyns ring
Vacors Attack boots
Gloves of the Watchmen (watch post? Sorry translating from German game)
Ring of the Rogue
Flagstones pride

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated
Thanks for the awesome game and in advance for your help :)
Cheers

Your stats look pretty solid for a level 37 character. As for armour there are a lot of different combinations. But I'll give you a few tips where to get better stuff.

You can get a excellent shield from
Gunymart
, though it might be a bit hard at your level.

Not totally sure of the stats of the Ring of the Rogue, but im pretty sure the Ring of the Protector (
Vileguard
) would be better. Just costs a bit.

Some good gloves would be: Troublemakers gloves (
Fallhaven i think, but its one of those shady guys in the taverns
), Worn Plated Gloves (
toward Charwood)
, and The Woodcutters Gloves (
you have to return one more wing to the woodcutters than asked
)

For armour, attempt to penetrate the green maze.(
about halfway in there is a guy standing on a mound with what is arguably the best armour in the game.
Flagstones Pride is a good all round sword.

The Necklace of the Protector (something like that) is a good Necklace that can be purchased from either (
Remguard, or Vileguard
. There is also the Marrowtaint, which can be collected doing a certain quest near and in Remgaurd. (Beware though, the path you take will determine if you get it)

I dont think there is any outstanding hat. Just depends on the person.

Now that all that is said, lets move to the skills  .
I stongly advise to read all the different ones and their descriptions. Set a goal on one of the more expensive ones and work towards it. Skills heavily rely on the character build. For an example, there would be no point in getting critical skills if you have a defensive build.

Also keep in mind that a combat update is coming out soon, so the stats might change.

Gunymart is the castle to the northwest over the river.

The list that I gave you is not necessarily the only good equipment, there will be some other great stuff if you look around.

I really don't like this topic as "best" is a relative term.
It really depends on what type of build you're looking to make.
Really should be asking yourself a series of questions and the answers to those questions will determine what is "best".
Do you want critical hits?
Do you want to maximize the amount of attacks per round?
Do you want to have a defensive focused character?
Do you want to go unarmored?
Do you want a tank style?
Do you want to build that can replenish health points? a.k.a vampire build.

Most of these questions are completely independent to your choice of weapon. But there is some overlap.

The best equipment you can use is your independence..i mean the way you choose your own best equipment hehe

Hey :)
Thanks for the responses and the map.
I agree it's not the best title for the topic, sorry for that.
I am an inexperienced gamer and not too good with building characters so I always don't know which way to go.
I like a balanced character. So block Chance and attack Chance should be both moderately good. Right now I would like to increase my attack damage as I am quite happy with the rest.

It's not the title that I dislike, it's the topic. It can be misleading to many readers and lead them to go with an equipment set that's been deemed "best" by someone else.
