I don't consider it cheating either. Running around with an overpowered tank is unfun anyway and should be obvious to anyone who's used cheats repeatedly over his gamer life.

I'm in the need of a savegame edit, I made a little mod to the game, and now I can't access the shop with the balanced steel sword. And I'm on vacations now, and away from my PC with the code. I know hex editing, but trying to hack it in results in unreadable files or loss of the item to convert. Any hints?

Check your quest logs. If you can't trade with Minarra then you must have broken the completion of a quest. Maybe you can fix it by completing the quest again (and maybe not; it depends on exactly what you broke).

No, I completed the quests that unlock her trades, but the game crashes when the trade window is opened. Same happens with other shop.
Next time I'm not touching the shops, and instead add my new items to mob drops.

The game then most certainly crashes because the shop can't find your item.
If your new item is in its own JSON file, make sure to add it to the res/values/load_resources.xml file.
Mob drops and shops are made the same way exactly BTW.

Huh, instead of editing savegames (which won't solve your shop desaster) I would drop selfmade items (if you carry any at the moment) at a place you never ever cross by accident, deinstall your corrupt version and installiert orig AT from play store or another source (or you have the apk saved for emergancy install in your device?). Then save a prayer and load a savegame (don't forget to habe the savegame directory on sdcard saved before).

Uhmm. i reached my current level having so much trouble and tons of fun, but this editing kinda sounds good to me. but not in the "cheating" way, you know just for fun while i still wait for the new update and also i wish i have the knowledge to do it, because i backread and i realize that editing a save files are really complicated

Sorry. Teaching anyone to edit saves is not something that will happen.

Its not hard lol my 9 year old daughter learned about hex codes and all a few years ago. But if you do mess up it would corrupt your save file.. well not really then you do a html code and it reverts back still I wouldn't. I did it just to see and was pointless.. i already made level 313 without doing it. It also defeat the purpose of playing the game

im assuming this is dead no but ive played on and off since 2011 and getting back into the game now - transferred my old file onto new device. is anyone able to help with the hex editing? i have my normal savefile where i do it all legit and then the fun all the xp save - can anyone tell me where in the hexcode are the skills? wanna add a bunch of levels to them to try out diff strats etc
