My last build had several crit/non crit swaps, but I never got him to Remgard to pick up the RoP. He used RoLS on one hand and ProB swapped for RoD+6 in the other... DotSP swapped for QSD...Troublemakers Gloves swapped out for something all BC.

That or the Villain's Ring, depending on whether you want to go offensive or defensive. My main build actually has 2x PRoB, 2x VR, and 2x RoP. :D Now I have my RoLS I only need one of each, but I have so much gold I can't be bothered to sell them. I switch ring, depending on what I'm up against. The spiders inflict such horrible conditions the most important thing is that they never hit you, so for them, it's RoP.
You can get the RoP in Vilegard

I've always gone more for offense, but got a good shield. With this dual wield experiment, a defensive ring makes more sense. I never paid much attention to them before.

very similar to my style...
this play-through is the only time i've used "defensive" rings

(granted, i have always taken note of their worth)

like you said, when dual wielding it's a nice way to bump up BC.
on that note, i really like the Fencing Blade* with the RoL

* 4 AP ~ 14%AC ~ 2-5 Dmg ~ BC 5%

I considered the fencing blade instead of BSS to go with FP.. Probably worth a try, still

Just finished Charwood. After the town, got skills for light armor and one handed swords. After the mines, coming back with Blade of the Defiler, I paid for the dagger skill also. Have the skill point for Level 44 to spend, but saving it for Specialization Dual Wield at 45.

So my choice going forward is whether to spend the next two skill points on daggers or swords proficiency. If swords, I can go in with FP and either BSS or Fencing Blade (offense or defense) for crit hits, or BSS plus FB for crit immunes. If daggers, I can go DotSP and BotD. But then what for crit immune? 2 QSD is huge hit on BC. Maybe just keep the daggers unchanged, or 1 QSD plus BotD. Am I missing any other good options?

After maxing the chosen proficiency, then I have skills to consider, again. I've already gone with Evasion 2 and 3. Evasion 4? Cleave? Corpse Eater? The other proficiency?

No I'm not interested in MF or QL or FM.

i really like both Cleave & Corpse Eater...

i would lean towards Cleave though, just because there are tons of ways to gain HP...
but not as many ways to get bonus AP.

the prerequisites are a little rough though, when you get to higher levels...

Dagger Proficiency also applies to short swords, so the Villain's Blade is also very good. The Sharp Steel dagger has a high AC, which then gets boosted a lot by the specialization and proficiency skills.

Cleave + Corpse Eater + Combat Speed = killer combo, especially when using a low AP cost weapon like the Quickstrike Dagger

I usually get IF + REG right of the bat, but that's mostly because i grind a lot in the beginning and they save me $$ on potions in the long run
