You do not need MF, but the RoLS only has a drop chance of 1 in 10,000. With 5500 kills you had about a 42% chance of getting one.

So I have 1MF and I've killed about 2k masters and trainers, am I even close to a ring, or who knows with such low odds?

The drop isn't based off a preset number it's based off a random drop chance. For instance imagine rolling that 10000 sided di every time you kill one. There's no guarantee you'll get it it just a calculated chance. And with magic finder you raise the odds .005% I believe

With 2000 kills and 1 level of MF you had about a 26% chance of getting a ring. However, probability does not have a memory, so you are no closer to getting a ring than you ever were. If you keep at it then eventually you will get one, but it's not possible to say when.

Got first RoLS at 25 lv Gargole master trainer and Shadow gargole master 260,163 killed haha

Got first RoLS after killing 260 Shadow Gargole Master at 25 lv:)

730 gargole master , 430 gargole trainer = 2 RolS in 4 hours. First RolS at 25 lv second at 33 lv.. Not bad depends on ppl who grinding months haha

Thats pretty lucky compared to the luck of some people who have tried for it and congrats on getting 2

I was in the beginning real lucky too, but now drop rate is getting more and more as statistic says how it should be...
Ah, the power of big numbers...

My six characters, all between lvl 45 and 65, bar one at lvl 35 have one Gem of Warmth between them, and that's it so far.
