New character

I've not played for a while, (patiently waiting for the next update) but my wife is currently in hospital, (she's been there a month and it's likely to be another month before she's out again). Nothing serious, it's mainly neuro-physio now to help deal with her MS.

The thing is, I visit almost every day, and parking is a nightmare, I have to get there about a half hour before visiting time to get a parking space. On my monthly library visits I get usually out an autobiography which is allocated for reading in my library,(aka, the bathroom) some science fiction and/or fantasy for getting me off to sleep at night and also a thriller or two which live in the car. With an extra half hour to fill every day I was burning through the thrillers too quickly, so I fired up Andor's Trail and created Snowdon (named after the ward my wife is in).

Snowdon was meant to be played in the car park, just to fill the time, but I can't stop!!!

Sorry to hear about the MS. A friend of mine had MS (or has; I lost contact many years ago). It's an unpleasant disease, although worse for some than others (his was bad, even at age 30).

Good luck with Snowdon :)

The update is getting closer (working on it right now in fact) :)

Unpleasant is putting it mildly, there's over 2m sufferers worldwide and I doubt if even two of them have the exact same set of symptoms.

Snowdon is now at lvl 22 after three notional 20 minute sessions in the car park.

Now at lvl 31. :D

A couple of quick forays have netted DotSP and SH without too much trouble.

Dagger prof. 1
One handed sword prof. 1
Light armour prof. 1
FS W & S 1.
CS 2.
IF 2
Regen 1
Dodge 1
HP 79

With BSS equipped - 192% AC - 24-34 AD - 107/2 BC

I think I'll do Brimhaven for lvl 32 (and beyond, by the time I've collected a poison gland first) and another SP in Regen before Trial by Fire and then set off for Remgard.

If I'm not careful I'll be done before the wife gets out.

This is one case where I would prefer that you didn't have the time to play AT so much, because it means your wife would be out already, and hopefully therefore better :| .

If you wish to do Brimhaven you will have to wait a while ;) . The outside maps are 90% done, the inside maps are 0% done, and there are no NPCs or anything else in town. It's high on the list, but will not happen in the next release. Maybe the one after that though. Or maybe not, because as I mentioned in some other thread, we want to push out more, smaller, updates, and there is content that is higher on the list, and closer to completion, than Brimhaven 8-)

I should have said, the Cave on the way to Brimhaven.

(Almost made lvl 32 just getting the poison gland, I usually find those quite easy).

I hate that cave.
I hate the rotworms. IMO they are one of the hardest things in the game to deal with

Which is why we need something even harder.

What makes the rotworms especially nasty is that you get trapped. You can fight your way to the end of the cave, only to get crippled in a way that means you may not be able to fight your way back. It is the only place in the game where you can get into such a situation, and I would not be a big fan of introducing another.

I actually quite like those maps, and the beasties are not too much trouble, (unless Zukero is reading this, and then they are really hard and don't need any nerfing). ;)
I've got to admit that I wasn't looking forward to the rotworms the first time, but have not found them a big problem, I always prepare first by fetching the correct poison gland, it's just a short run back from Ulirfendor to Loneford then.
